FROG JUMP, TN - Republican congressional candidate Stephen Fincher today announced that his campaign has accepted an invitation from Union University officials to participate in an Eighth District congressional debate on that school's campus in October.
The debate will take place on Tuesday, October 5th at the Grants Event Center and last for one hour. It will be sponsored by Union University. The school has invited the two major candidates in the race--Republican Stephen Fincher and Democrat Roy Herron. The debate will be an open media event. Union University will be announcing further details regarding time, format and logistics shortly.
Stephen Fincher said, "I look forward to having a spirited debate with Roy Herron on the issues. This will be a great event that will reach a wide audience in the district and I'm excited to contrast my candidacy with that of Senator Herron's."
Stephen Fincher is a lifelong farmer, businessman, and gospel singer with deep roots in Tennessee, not politics. Stephen and Lynn, his wife of 18 years, proudly raise their three children in Frog Jump.
