Frog Jump, TN -- According to a new poll commissioned by his campaign and conducted by a nationally-respected survey research firm, Stephen Fincher is leading his closest competitor in the Republican primary by 23 points.
The Tarrance Group poll, which surveyed 401 likely GOP primary voters in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District from April 5-6, shows that Fincher’s lead grows among the most informed and consistent Republican voters.
Remarking upon the poll, Fincher said: “While our team is excited and humbled by these numbers, I fully expect the race to tighten in the coming months and am taking nothing for granted. Our competitors are wealthy, well-connected and will have plenty of money to spend. But grassroots Republicans are joining our team because they know we can’t stop Obama and Pelosi with the same old Washington ways – we need a common-sense conservative whose roots run deep in Tennessee, not politics.”
