Fincher Wins 4th Consecutive County GOP Straw Poll
String of 65%+ Victories Continues
Showing again that he is the overwhelming favorite of grassroots Republicans, Frog Jump farmer and gospel singer Stephen Fincher won his fourth consecutive straw poll Saturday night. After speaking at the Carroll County Republican Party Reagan Day Dinner about the need to stop the Obama-Pelosi agenda, Fincher prevailed with 67% of the vote.
The win comes on the heels of landslide straw poll victories in Lauderdale County (65%), Madison County (66%) and Dyer County (78%). Fincher has won every straw poll taken in the 8th District thus far.
"I am so thankful for the support that we've received from folks all over the 8th District," Fincher said after the official results of the poll were released on Sunday. "As I continue listening to voters, it is clear they're tired of the same old politicians who continue to fail everyday people. My roots run deep in Tennessee, not politics - and my commitment is to Tennesseans, not big-moneyed special interests."
"Our momentum is growing everyday. I'll stand up against the Obama-Pelosi agenda and help get our country back on the road to prosperity with tax cuts for families and small businesses. This string of straw polls shows that message is resonating."
Fincher, 37, is a farmer and businessman, member of a gospel singing ministry started by his grandmother sixty years ago, and husband and father of three. For more information, visit www.stephenfincher.com.
