FINCHER PLEDGES TO STAND UP FOR THE TAXPAYER

(Frog Jump, TN) Stephen Fincher, farmer and businessman from Frog Jump, has signed three pledges to stand up for the taxpayer.
Fincher has signed Americans for Tax Reform's "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" (promising to vote no on higher taxes), Americans for Prosperity's "No Climate Tax" pledge (promising to vote no on cap-and-trade), and Club for Growth's "Repeal It!" pledge (promising to vote yes on repealing government-run healthcare).
"Whether it's higher taxes, nationalized health care or cap-and-trade, I will stand up for the taxpayer against an ever-encroaching federal government," Fincher said. "With folks struggling, it's unconscionable that President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are asking Tennesseans to foot the bill for their big-government agenda. I'll stand up for the middle-class in Washington, and I'm not afraid to tell Obama and Pelosi ‘no' when they try to ram higher taxes, big deficits and liberal values through Congress. This unprecedented intrusion into our uniquely American way of life must be stopped; before our grandchildren wake up with a mountain of debt too great to overcome, we have to get back to our roots – limiting government and controlling spending."
In signing these pledges, Fincher also calls on all of his competitors – Democrat, Republican and independent – to put labels aside and join him in signing on the dotted line: no higher taxes, no cap-and-trade, no Obamacare.
"I'm proud to put my money where my mouth is. More importantly, I'm proud to let Tennesseans know that they can count on me to fight the Obama-Pelosi agenda when it's wrong for us," said Fincher. "The taxpayers can rest assured that I'll stand with them to protect their pocketbook."
Stephen Fincher, a farmer from Frog Jump, Tennessee, is the first and only candidate thus far in Tennessee's 8th Congressional District who has signed any of these three pledges.
